Venture Scout Unlocked

Learn venture capital through structured exposure

Venture Scout Unlocked is an education-first program designed to help participants understand how venture capital works in practice through structured exposure to real investment activity.

It is not a job, internship, or employment opportunity, but a learning experience focused on observation, context, and decision-making.

Designed for students of Venture Capital Unlocked, the program addresses a growing gap in access to real-world venture experience. As traditional internships shrink and junior roles become increasingly automated, many aspiring investors are left with strong theoretical knowledge but limited insight into how decisions are actually made.

Venture Scout Unlocked exists to bridge this gap from an educational perspective. It helps participants develop judgment by showing how investment processes, evaluation criteria and risk reasoning work in practice.

The experience is built around real investment activity taking place within venture capital funds and investment vehicles managed or advised by Claudio Colombo, as well as selected co-investment contexts, all within a supervised, education-first framework.

What you will learn through exposure

As part of the program, participants may be invited to observe and, in limited and supervised contexts, engage with selected phases of the investment process, including:

Dealflow & Scouting

Evaluation & Screening

Founder Interaction

Decision-Making Logic

4.Applied Learning Frameworks

4.Reflection & Insight

Structured feedback moments to reflect on decision-making logic, trade-offs and personal learning progress.

There are no mandatory deliverables and no performance obligations.

The primary purpose of Venture Scout Unlocked is education and professional development.

In limited cases, where a participant’s learning journey results in a clearly identifiable and meaningful contribution to an investment that is ultimately completed, an optional, success-based recognition may be granted.

To avoid any ambiguity:

  • This recognition is not guaranteed
  • It is not compensation for services
  • It is incidental and discretionary
  • It is not the objective of participation

While education remains the core purpose, the skills, frameworks and exposure developed through the program are directly applicable to future paths in venture capital, startup investing, venture building and related roles.

  • Aspiring venture capital professionals
  • Founders seeking to understand the investor perspective
  • Operators and professionals exploring early-stage investing
  • Individuals looking for structured exposure to VC decision-making

This program is particularly relevant for those who want to build career-relevant judgment, credibility and understanding of early-stage investing, while remaining within a clearly educational framework.

The program is intentionally selective and small-scale.

To ensure full clarity, Venture Scout Unlocked is not:

  • an employment opportunity
  • an internship or trainee role
  • a consulting or advisory engagement
  • a fundraising or placement activity

Participants do not represent any fund, make investment decisions, or act on behalf of investors.

Participants join a small, curated learning community of aspiring investors and operators.

The program encourages peer discussion, shared analysis, and long-term professional connections, while maintaining a strong emphasis on discretion, confidentiality, and learning integrity.

Participation is governed by a dedicated educational agreement defining:

  • independent learner status
  • confidentiality and compliance requirements
  • the educational scope of participation
  • the optional and non-guaranteed nature of any success-based recognition

The program is designed to be transparent, compliant, and education-first.
